Retiring collection in aid of the Friends of the Moot Hall Organ

Emma has been Director of Music at Chelmsford Cathedral since September 2024. A graduate of Pembroke College, Cambridge, she trained as an organ scholar at St Martin-in-the-Fields and Southwell Minster, and completed an MMus in Organ Performance at the Royal College of Music. She has held posts across the UK, including Director of Music at Newport Cathedral, St. George’s Church Belfast, and High Wycombe Parish Church, establishing choirs, directing adults, boys, and girls, and accompanying a wide range of ensembles.

Following the 2.00pm recital, Emma will give a one-hour masterclass to four selected organ students. Audience members are welcome to observe. Organ students wishing to be considered for a place in the masterclass should contact the City Organist via the Contact page.
