The Old Library

West Stockwell Street, Colchester, CO1 1HE

Originally Colchester’s first Town Centre public library, the Old Library is designed in classic Jacobean style and oozes history

With its white, lime-washed walls, high ceilings, curved timber gables and mullioned windows, it’s an elegant space that is flooded with natural light by day and when twilight falls transforms into a glamorous location with sparkling chandeliers, stained glass windows and opulent marble bar.

With two entrances and ornate stairs leading from the Colchester’s historic West Stockwell Street, this fully self-contained suite with reception, kitchen and cloakroom is an ideal setting for wedding ceremonies, receptions and parties.
