Pipes in the Park 2025

Around 200 pipers and drummers will be descending on Colchester’s Lower Castle Park on Sunday 15 June for “Pipes in the Park”, bringing that evocative sound of bagpipes and a colourful swirl of kilts.

It’s the biggest festival of piping in Southern England, and will bring together local bands from Essex, Suffolk and Cambridge plus some from as far afield as Plymouth and Leicester.
Local youngsters will show off their Highland dancing skills and you can browse a range of stalls, enjoy delicious foods and relax at the bar.

Children can enjoy the inflatables, bungee trampolines and other fun activities. Entry to the park is free, so take a walk through and stay to enjoy the music. Parking is available off Cowdray Avenue behind the fire station.
