"You'll be in a trance from the moment this lot drop their imminent single, so be prepared for a refreshing obsession like no other." – Vocal Girls

SONGS & SWAGGER & SONGS & ALL the mojo. There's no more mojo to go around. It's all gone. They ate the mojo." – Courtney Love

From nocturnes to nightmares.

Picture Parlour have recently been broadcasting their histrionic transmission across the tenebrous quarters of South London and beyond, gaining recognition from all who've been smart enough to have discovered them thus far.

Observing their ravenously watchable live set, you may question whether you have found yourself back in July 1976, sat on the dusty back row of a Ciné Lumière, awaiting a sleazy neo-noir screening. That is if you manage to snatch a ticket before selling out, which is an increasingly common theme with this feverish band.

Picture Parlour comprise singer-songwriter Katherine Parlour (blue side of Liverpool) and guitarist Ella Risi (white side of Yorkshire). The pair began writing together during the pandemic, developing their own sound, and drawing inspiration from the likes Patti Smith and Nick Cave to name but two.

Since then, they have relocated to the capital and expanded into an electric 4-piece with the addition of bassist Sian Lynch and drummer Michael Nash. With their blinding entrance into the industry, this phen four have showcased their aptitude to conjure and captivate a crowd and, to think, they are only on act I.

Roll back the curtains.
