Chris Allard Dreamweavers

Chris Allard is primarily a contemporary jazz guitarist but is at home in a variety of genres. He has recorded seven original albums to date, critical acclaim includes ★★★★ in Jazzwise, Jazz Journal, Guitarist and BBC Music magazines.For this concert the band will feature music from brand new album Citadel - and from previous albums Woven in Timeand Melodic Collective - with contemporary jazz harmony and rhythm, long-form compositions, rock-infused elements and atmospheric soundscapes.

As a freelance musician Chris has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Pyramids and Great Sphinx in Cairo, the Barbican, Montreux Jazz Festival, Nuremberg Festival, Hackney Empire, O2 Arena London, Midem Festival (Cannes), the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Beiteddine Arts Festival Lebanon, Edinburgh Festival, Duoro Jazz Festival Portugal, Ronnie Scott’s, Spring of Culture Festival (Bahrain), The Royal Festival Hall, the BBC Proms in Hyde Park.

He has performed/recorded with Jacqui Dankworth MBE, Charlie Wood, Dame Cleo Laine, Sir John Dankworth, Omar Kamal, the BBC Big Band, Jamie Cullum, Gwilym Simcock, Alison Balsom OBE, Sheridan Smith, Ken Peplowski, Lea Salonga.

He is also a Professor of Jazz at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
