Attila the Stockbroker, born John Baine in 1957, is a British punk poet, musician, and songwriter known for his energetic performances and sharp social commentary. With a career spanning over four decades, he has performed over 4,000 concerts, published eight books of poetry, and released numerous albums blending punk rock, folk punk, and early music.

As the leader of the band Barnstormer 1649, Attila combines punk with historical themes, drawing inspiration from the English Civil War. He's also a passionate supporter of Brighton & Hove Albion F.C., serving as the team's poet-in-residence and previously as stadium announcer. Attila continues to tour and perform, celebrated for his wit, satire, and dedication to the spoken word scene
